Priest:  You bring light and hope to our lives, Lord, and so in confidence we bring all our needs to you now:

• We pray for the Church. May we put our faith into action and be a light shining in the darkness of our world.  (Pause)  Lord, in your mercy …

 

  We pray for the work of the Salesian Priests, Brothers and Sisters throughout the world.  May they continue to inspire those who work for the benefit of the young.  (Pause)  Lord, in your mercy …

 

• We pray for all those who are hungry and homeless, especially anyone escaping from war or conflict and looking for a place of safety. May we find the courage to welcome the stranger and share our bread with anyone in need.  (Pause)  Lord, in your mercy …

 

• We pray for America as they face the uncertainties of the new administration. Guide them as they search for ways to work together for the good of their country and the rest of the world. (Pause)  Lord, in your mercy …

 

• As we prepare to celebrate the feast day of St Josephine Bakhita we pray for all those who are enslaved by trafficking. We also pray for all those working to rescue, protect and free victims of this crime against humanity, that their work will bear fruit. (Pause)  Lord, in your mercy …

 

• Let us pray for anyone who in our own parish who is sick. Help them to know that they are infinitely loved and bring them health in mind and body. (Pause)  Lord, in your mercy …
